Default My first Airbrush paint job!

What do you all think about my first attempt at painting with an airbrush?

What can I look to do better on the next time? Airbrushing is harder than it looks!

Thanks

You have a great scheme there and it should show up nicely on the track and attract some attention.

What to do different? Depends on what effect you're after. The blue to orange is a pretty bold contrast. It looks like you were trying to give the effect of the orange floating over the blue. On darker backgrounds, that's a pretty difficult thing to achieve.

An alternative may be to the blue appear floating over the orange. The drop shadows would show up better against the orange. For decent drop shadows, use a transparent black like a window tint or a transparent smoke/charcoal. You only need one or two very thin coats for a good dropshadow. It should be just slightly visible looking through clear lexan. Some like to put a piece of masking tape on the outside so the shadow shows up better.

Transparent colors work best because they produce a nice gray colored shadow as opposed to a hard black one. It tends to look more natural and provide a better effect. Hope this helps.

Pig, thanks alot for your input on what to do better. I will try to find a createx transparent for my next body. I already have 3 friends who want me to paint a body for them. I told them all they need to do is buy the body. At least I will get alot of practice in this way.

THANKS!
