I have what might be a dumb question, but will ask anyway. . So I've got a design where the paint color will change mid-body, mid-window. Ill be using liquid mask all over the place for other designs, but I really like the pre cut window masks that came with the body (and worry about my ability to free hand cut straight lines around the window).

Is it at all possible or advised to use both liquid and pre cut masks? Would you apply the liquid mask over the pre cut? I can't get it in my head how I'd remove the liquid mask over half of the window mask without scoring a line in it

Maybe this is a bad idea and the answer is just "free hand the windows". Thoughts? Thanks!

wow i haven t been on in years !
you certainly can use both . The pre cut mask may help guide your blade a bit, however, make sure to cut very clean around it as it will build up in thickness.

That video is helpful. I didn't really do it the best way with my last body. It can ruin both the look and the fitment of the body

I use spaz stix paints. Pretty much spray right out of the bottle with a .4 needle/ tip. If I have to thin a bit I use lacquer thinner. Not a fan of the water based stuff.

Createx for me. Especially their line of clears and sealers. I've never been so impressed at how a line of paint sprays, especially when I get down to 10 PSI or less. And their color selection is outstanding. Not my best work, but it was good enough for a spray test, color mix test and a race test.
