Brought this beater back to life. I can't say this enough....if you need decals Carl Seils is your man. This body was better looking before but I won't let it die, too many great race memories.

Thanks Red. I might pull the front off and try the shoe goo. Today was her first race and it's still on there. lol

Yes, Pactra Lime Ice. I didn't really want a metallic but that's all they had at my local HS. In the end though, I do like it and agree that it looks really good with the black.

Hello everyone. I'm just getting my toys back out of storage after literally years of storage and moves.....what's the current wisdom on body shell prep for paint? Anyone still scuff sand anymore, or is it just wash, dry, mask, and go?

I wash with soap and water before painting and a friend uses alcohol, both seem perfectly acceptable. I don't know of anyone that still scuffs. It's liquid mask every time for me. Welcome back!

Thinking about expanding to some colors in the Createx brand. Anyone use Createx colors? What line (standards, auto air, etc) are you using?

Really liked some of the recent pictures, like the Johnny Lightning car. Made me decide to do a slot car based theme. It's based on an Autoworld XTraction car that is a takeoff on the original #3 AFX Magnatraction Camaro.

I had a bit of trouble with the paint adhering to the Protoform body. I washed the body thoroughly with Dawn after scuffing with a ScotchBrite pad. I used Parma Faskolor. Anyone else having same issue? It seems to be only with Protoform bodies in particular.
