Spent the day finishing up my first VTA project. Couldn't be happier! Just waiting on new spur/pinion gears to come in.

One of the earlier VTA bodies I airbrushed. Thought I'd show it again. Best part of VTA is that you can create period correct schemes. There's so many. This one is the famed "YENKO" Camaro.

Don't know that one of these showed up on the Trans Am track, but for street racers, it was a beast. The guy I did it for wanted to put on his own decals. So, I just did the paint and Yenko graphics.

Thanks guys. I liked it too. The tiny lettering was the hardest part. I had to lightly mist the paint over the lettering masks to keep it from creeping under because parts where so narrow. Simple body, but harder than it looks.

Battman, I'll send you an email shortly.

I'm working on one for me next. Its going to be a "JEGS" car. I know, they weren't around back then. But, I think it will make a nice Couldhavebeen car. I loved how the JEGS funny car I did turned out, so I'm using a few of the same masks for this one. Hope to have some time this weekend to finish it.

Don't know if Jeg's had anything to do with Trans Am, but I went to college in Columbus Ohio in the 60s (don't laugh) and I went to the Jeg's store there all the time. So, they were around back then.

Don Gregory out of Columbus, OH drove for Bud St. Amant for *years*. Gregory won the 1970 Florida State Championship in a '69 Chevelle sponsored by Jeg's:

Then, in the mid-'70s, drove a '69 Camaro-bodied Late Model:

He also drove a mid-'70s bodied Camaro and a late-'70s Olds Cutlass:

Scott, that ride is gonna be sweet....but I have to say the Big Ed's Pizza body sure was a killer "one of a kind". Probably my favorite.
