Now...if I can just get to the TRACK!

McAllister VTA Mustang - w/ new Grill and Taillight decals

Still have a little sizing work, but I put these on a body I already had painted and they didn't do too bad (need to do something different w/ the window trim decals though)

The paint job on this body wasn't very good, as the black bled really bad through the tape - and it was a quicky anyway... The tail lights were painted in w/ the mask supplied w/ the body - and I just installed a new decal over the paint job (missed a little) but that won't be an issue w/ one that doesn't have the tails painted in.

I made up 4 different grille styles - w/ headlights - w/o headlights - w/ "taped" headlights - and one w/ MOON EYES decals for the outer headlights

I can't really argue with details and since you made the shell you know it better than anyone, but you throw that thing on the track and look at it in the heat of battle and you will not be noticing that the black bled through. That shell looks just fine.

Very nice. So did you make or have made the headlight/tail light/grill decals for the McAllister in any kind of quantity? One of the dissapointments of this otherwise very good body is the lack of stickers. I did make up some decal templates once for it and noticed that is not perfectly symmetrical, which would make it hard to mass produce decals. The master mold must have been hand made. So I just went with a painted grill and headlights.

I designed the grill and tail light decals, plus a Boss stripe (that actually says Brushless 21.5 for the Outlaw VTA class) - they aren't quite as good as I'd like them to be - I'm working w/ a sign shop for the printing...

I did up 5 different grill styles and a couple different tail light decals. The window stripes are a bit too thick - but so far I like them better than no stripes.

I believe Gary McAllister still does all his molds by hand .

If I had the $$$ to play with, I'd refine these and consider them for public sale, but I just don't think there's enough of a market to do so... (I Had several sets done up, and it cost me roughly $75 bucks.
