I think Team Associated reconize the USVTA class and did their homework. They saw TC3/4 winning in major VTA races and saw the need to re-open the door for the chassis. We had 2 or 3 TC3/4 make the A-main at the Southern Nats which had close to 50 VTA's alone.....Reedy also put the Wolfpack 5000 25c lipo out there as well.
Glad to know that some companys see the potential in helping the USVTA classes grow...

Speaking of those wolfpacks, you can save a couple bucks here

I know that this TRANS AM isnt USVTA legal, but I'm sure many are running it for club racing, right?
I did this one with Faskolor. Everything is paint at this point. The guy I did it for may add some decals, but that's his call. Headlights will be clear, but I don't believe he's putting in a lighting system.

I recently won a McAllister 1969 Mustang body. I was digging through my spare decals and came across a set of 1/24 Valvoline stockcar decals from Autographics, which inspired my paint scheme. Here is the finished product.

I wanted to post some observations about the McAllister 1969 Mustang body.
- 1 piece mold
- comes with overspray film
- comes with window masks that you will have to cut out
- come with grill/headlight mask that you will have to cut out
- molded in spoiler
- 200mm width
Overall I was pleased with this body. Here is a quick comparison to the Pegasus Mach Jet:
Window Masks
Yes - McAllister
No - Pegasus
Overspray Film
Yes - McAllister
No - Pegasus
Decals
No - McAllister
No - Pegasus
Spoiler
Yes - McAllister
No - Pegasus (okay, there is a very small spoiler)
Wheelbase
McAllister - 200mm front rear
Pegasus - a bit narrow in rear
After painting the body above, I weighed it on a food scale. It came in at 110grams. I was careful with masking the body to not get any extra paint from overspray. I have not reinforced the body yet, but based on my experience with the Pegasus, this body may not need it.

I still think vta should be at least 21.5, these were big bore V8s with more HP than handling,,,,,muscle a full body car like a muscle car should be.
