True, it wasn't too long ago I found out that the drivers in 1/8th on road cars have to be at least 3 colors by ROAR rules..........that helps painters out, LOL, of course, it also helps that the bodies also only last about one weekend, unless the driver is stellar and never needs to get around lappers, .......Jim

hey guys, any tips or comments about my body at that is previously posted? Could use a lil help. I know there are some spots where the paint bled, but that's my tape, not very good quality.

I would recommend using 3M's blue painter's tape. It is a little more expensive, but works really well. I never get any bleed through.

looks good, spray thinner coats. The first coat should be really light, helps seal the mask.

Many thin coats should stop bleeding, remember that patience is a virtue

Be careful when you cut and pull up mask around the edges.

Charlie b's free flame masks are great, I have such trouble "freehanding" flames that it makes them so much easier.

When I do it, they end up leaning one way, or slanting wierdly.

Thanks Charlie, would be lost without that mask!!!

The bodies look great . The only masking tapes i use are Tamiya and Kyosho .
The Tamiya comes in 6mm 10mm 18mm and 40mm.
Kyoshs Micron Line Tape comes 0.4mm 0.7mm 1mm 1.5mm 2.5mm.
this way i have fine lines at hand without to much messing around .
Hop this help .
What do you think of my Ford Ute ?
