[QUOTE=Mera'din;11400332]Here is a new "old" shell. I just copied my first design and aged it a bit. Still have the old body to run to fool with people. Almost everything is paint. The grill, window trim and a few stick HPI decals are used. The rest is paint.

love the paint skeem nice

Here's a new 68 Camaro body I did this weekend. Its the HPI version. If you want to see more pics, visit the Vintage Trans Am Paint forum.

Currently, the body is not legal for USVTA racing because it doesn't have numbers on it. If I race it, I'll add them. But, it looks nice just like it is I think. All Faskolor paint.

Josh, that looks absolutely brilliant, your right, lightening mcqueen is very popular this year, I have just done one myself however it doesn't look as good as that. I might try and post a pic soon!

Cheers
Mike

The weathering on the Camaro is the best I think I have seen! Only thing I don't really care for is the blue door. I would like to see it all in weathered Mt. Dew livery. Very cool!

No way! I love the blue door! I see clunkers all the time with different colored doors. It goes perfectly with this paint scheme.

I painted this Kyosho Buggy body for a local racer here in Indianapolis. He wanted it to match the SCT bodies I've painted for him.

I left the nose un cut/dremeled because he wants to fit it later. Turned out like he wanted, but the window outlines were a wee tight to get to.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the positive comments. Honestly, we all post here to get compliments and to get constructive criticism. I truly don't think most people, even some racers, realize what goes in to making a custom airbrushed body, so its nice when someone likes what you've done. My wife just says, "that's nice."
