I have seen one of his bodies up close and it looks like regular small brush to me. Not to mention his work is very nice!
A few from the last couple of weeks; this first one was requested to match her 1:1 ride
This scheme is taken from a luck(shop UFO) TC design that a customer wanted copied
This customer really wanted a copy of the pancar on the protoform flyer
And these for a local racer that chose the main colors but left everything else up to me.

This one, I have to say I really like. Simple but not easy. That pinstriping is tasteful and probably a lot harder to do than freehanding bloobs and flames and tribals and such. The blue color looks like a custom-mixed color, a nice touch. The black window trim is nice, too. Good job!
I hate to be a grumpy ol' man (even though I'm "only" 43), but I find most of the paintjobs in this thread highly derivative and after you've seen the first 15 pages, you've already seen 90% of what's happening.

Cpt.America, yes, it's true that they are painted with a small striping brush.
I do use the airbrush sometimes, but my personal preference is the paint brush most of the time.
btw...
Man Luck can sling some paint. Makes my hand cramp up just lookin at it.

lmao that he can. I have had some good painters, but he does it, and does it fast. This was a 2 week lead IIRC
Well I am posting a couple of my first airbrush attempts. Not sure if they are even worthy of posting on here with all of the other awesome lids. The first set of pics is my first and the next are my second. Already getting better.
I do have a question about airbrushing fine lines such as drop shadows. When I try to get my brush close to the body the paint just pushes along the body like a I have too much paint or to much airflow. I have tried to adjust both with no luck. Any tips??? Thanks Randy
