So the one piece motor mounts / center bulkhead types won't work with the traction drive.

Dang it, I knew I bought the wrong motor mount lol

You mean I have to bring my Tekno/Kyosho to represent! Tomorrow night is too short notice for me. I will work hard to be ready by weeks end.

I'll definitely keep you posted. The club is trying to get at least one race in a month. The next one is probably in two to three weeks.

If you want you can join the SoCal RC forum and see what's happening yourself. It's nice local bunch of guys and the racing scene is very laid back.

Foams are the ticket at WCRCR! I was talking to a Tekno DM-1 guy and he won't go back to rubber at WCRCR. He drove with a ton of control and stuck like a 10th scale.

A guy on the WCRC thread said that he'll be there with a Kyosho and his friend will have a DM-1 so that's five if you go. I'm 99% sure we're going.

We ran rubber the last few times with great success. The GRP tires (the ones that used to come stock on Losi's L8 rollers) work great, Losi's new tread for the L8 hooks up too. Ipanema's are good but so far we feel the GRP's are better. I have a set of foams but I have never run them so I have no idea how they will work.

I thought they didn't allow foams at WCRC. If they do, we'll have to try them out. Too bad you can't make it js. From the pic though it looks like your car is in working order...

I can't speak for Matt but a couple of us were running 45sh slicks on GT spoke rims. Typical temps out here in San Diego is 75-78 degrees. Not sure what foam inserts they are but if it helps they were purchased over a year ago. I don't seem to recall there being an option for different foams back then.

WOW double confirmed! That's serious business! I never get double confirmation that far in advance.

Sorry I can't make it out with you guys today. Let me know if you need me to bring the Kyosho by for Zack. What time are you leaving?

You will like the foams. I ran rubber and foams there with a DM-1. The foams are better there.

It's pretty much ready, I just want to put it on the setup station one more time to make sure my setting are in the ballpark from a year ago. Most of it will just be track tuning. I have the 2 speed on there since that was my original plan for Crystal Park before they closed. I know it's not needed for WCRCR, but what the heck let's try it out.

BTW, I saw your interview with Jason Sams on Youtube from a while back. Your famous!
