This GT racing looks really cool! Is there a write up of loose rules/product listings? Are there any manufacturers supporting this, either direct or indirect? Where are people racing these? I know Leisure Hours, but where else in Great Lakes area?

Thanks,

Snowy.

Should i get the Kyosho conversion kit or is there an better and cheaper one?
Does the GT bodies fit the GT2?
Looking for an new unpainted body for it!
Which body has the best handling?
I really like the Aston best but read that it does som MB GT-R le-mans flips!

Nice upgrade. Can you tell a noob to this scene what it is? And can you get it without a motor?

Thanks!

I believe that's the Kyosho Inferno GT 2 nitro touring car, Kyosho makes an electric conversion kit for it...so a lot of guys seem to be racing the 8th scale GT class using the Inferno with electric conversion. I think they look awesome on the track, I like the larger scale a lot. Just too expensive for me...but if I had the money, I'd probably get one.

Nice pick up and upgrade from your CR!

There are some other options for converting your GT2. I believe RCMonster makes a motor mount. Or if you are handy you can do what I did and Frankenstein your own. (see pics below).

As for bodies, you will be limited to the GT2 bodies as the GT2 is a longer truggy based chassis and the GT is buggy based (like the DM-1 Spec). Of the Kyosho bodies I've heard that the racers lean towards the Corvette. If you want something aftermarket you can look at the Ipanema Warrior.

The IGT2 is based off a 1/8 scale truggy. So yes, it's longer than a buggy.

I thought I pretty much answered your question in THIS reply. The protoform PF8 fits buggy based chassis. For the GT2 you are limited to only the Kyosho GT2 bodies

Corvette
Audi
McLaren
Aston Martin

and one aftermarket body
Ipanema Warrior

The Protoform WILL NOT FIT. Here is a picture I took of my DM-1 PF-8 body sitting on a GT2.
