I know now it sunny.
Yea the rain started early at my house today and the radar showed it hitting Corona arouind 8:30 -9am. I didn't know if that wuld wash out the event, but I figured no racing til probably 11 at the earliest. I was looking forward to trying to keep Steve from lapping me more than once.

DO you guys run(8th scales) at the Orange track too on Saturdays.

Default DM-1 conversion vs Ultra GTP 2e

The Ultra kit looks like the car to buy these days - great value and it runs well, I was wondering what advantages it might have over a DM-1 Teckno conversion. I have the non spec DM-1 that I just switched to the techno kit, but it seems that the Ultra might be noticrably ligher. Any other differences showing up on the track?

Thanks!

On the way back from Corona I stopped at west coast RC and decided to practice there. Pretty nice track, great traction with the sweeps.. However the PMT's were useless there.

There was another Ferrari bodied GT8 there.. Initially I thought it was a converted Kyosho... Later I learned it was a Traxxas Slash!

Pretty sweet set up, with 550 motor and 2S it was extremely competitive.. Will give the GT8 on 4S a run for the money.. I was amazed how it entered corners at high.

Was the slash a Low CG chassis or the stock one?

Kyosho should definitely release 1/8 brushless GT series, their lexan body shells are pretty scale and detailed. I will buy a Kyosho for my next 1/8 GT car.
