It was raced and beat on at several OFFROAD tracks across CA. We all know how much abuse goes into 1/8th nitro offroad. The only new parts on it are the conversion pieces and the new spur gear I had to replace last time out. I do agree with you though regarding the tranny. Switching over from my previous GTP2E, I did notice that the transmission had much less drag, contributing to the acceleration and extended drive time.

Either way, I Really enjoy racing with you bro. You make me want to go faster and drive better. Listen to the all of the videos of Corona GT8E, you can hear me cracking up in all of them! SOOOO MUCH FUN!

Thanks for bringing GT8E to us in SoCal. I remember when you and Dave Starks came to Corona with them. I was as I am now....HOOOKED!
Thats what I love about my Tamiya 801 conversion, it has a straight drive line unlike most buggies, it's super smooth and little drag.. Hopefully in due time I'll be able to take advantage of it and give you guys some real competition

Mines a year younger then yours , Ive had the cnc 4mm chassis for it when it was first released!
On another note, got my charger and batteries tuesday, 4s gen ace's,and my hyperion 1420 net3,the charger is really nice, I have the old skool triton ,what a difference, not a power lab8, but still a very nice charger ,and my 2 xsara bodys for a eb4 came today, the wheel base is perfect, though I have no idea what I have it at?
Got my rx8 connectored up,now gotta build a batteyr tray ,I need to get a fricken camera the droid aint cutting it!

Do you guys run slicks or treaded tires primarily at HB and Corona?

I've seen 4 manufacturers represented at H.B. as well as Corona.

Sweep - both, Ipanema - slicks, Losi - and PMT's - treaded.

Also, what is the difference between the standard PMT tires, and the PMT "super racing" versions?

Difficult to say, the importer only brings in the super racing.

A place on Ebay is selling both the regular and "super racing" (they are in the US too). Think I might pick up a set of each and compare them.
