Traction was pretty good. No Zip-grip or Paragon in the building.
Had to use Jack the Gripper. No sure it will last for a 5min run at full speed.
Was running Jaco greens all the way around. Want to try Purple/Pinks
next time. Also I did not have sattle batterys. Ran an Orion stick pack on the left side and the Electronics on the rightside of the car. I didn't realy like the balance of the set-up. but was running with equipment that I have.

The place is really nice.

Default +1 more for a Pro 10 class at WCRC

I'm not interested in racing ROAR sanctioned events so lets be flexible on the rules. How many lipo and what turn brushless? I plan on bringing out my 10L2.5 at the end of summer and not interested in pan-sedan.

Typical we are flexible and use ROAR rules as a guide line, but I would say 17.5 and maybe 2s lipos. I will be running 6 cell 3300's and a brushed stock motor until I can invest in brushless.

If I can make it out, that's about where I will be, to start again, as well. 3300-6 cell with stock brushed motor. As I can upgrade, I will do so.

Cool!

And i would say limit motor to 17.5
I'm being told that 17.5 = stock or close to
and 13.5 is like 19t
I personally think 10.5 is way to much motor for this track.

Another note. For the guys that remember Ron Core and them that did not know him. He died from a stroke a few years ago. A really nice guy who race with some of us in the Socal days.
His wife gave to me some of his Rc stuff a few years ago. One was an
RC10L2. This is the car I just took to the new track to test ( with a few changes i made to it) and will be the car I will run should we all get together again.
I'll post a picture of the car in a few min.

Default Setup Tool Question

hi guys,

I have a question I have not been able to find an answer to.

I am looking for a setup system for my pancar (Associated RC10L4),
for seting toein.
I have a Hudy setup system that works fine on touring cars, but the
holes for the axles are too large for the pancar axles.
The only setup system I have seen that fits pancars is the Hole Shot
system that has 3 different size axle holes, but I guess Hole Shot is
out of business. Any suggestions or comments.

Thanks,
Gary

For some of us who have been around for 100's of years as another racer said, Unity Tools makes a set up tool that will do 1/12, 1/10 and 1/8 scale. Give track width, toe, camber and is a tweak station as well. You can find them used on E-bay once in awhile, but the company is still around and making the product. I've had mine for over 20 years and still works very well.

You can also look at Niftech as they have some tools that will do track width and toe.

Check these out. They are out of stock right now, but sometimes they show up on Hobbytalk. I've also seen them on Ebay.

The way I've always done it is to get a ruler, center your servo, and then line the ruler up against the back rim (since it's always at zero toe) and extend it up past the fronts. Yes, there's a gap, but it's not very big and you can get a pretty consistent -1 deg.

Has anyone seen this kit, looks like a cross between pan/touring wondering if the low profile will allow for some high downforce bodies?

I have a dinosaur of an alignment tool from racetec that works really good. It is kind of a pain in the behind to use since you have to remove the king pins, but still seams to be right on for toe, camber and caster. Found it on e bay several years back. That set up on Lefthanders and the Windtunnell web sight looks like a good choice.
