i have a feeling that 4 cells would make the car seem skiddish. personally, 6 cells or 2s lipo. toss in a 13.5 , various prototype bodies and lets race

235 car, 6 cell 10.5 brushless - will pass a gas car down the straight. In our Fall Classic race, I was clocked at 39mph down the straight, 2mph faster than any other pan car, just wish I could drive better 2-Duh's and I was third!!!

Default 3PKSw/303FHS Receiver

Hey guys, I'm running a pan car in 1/10 oval. I'm just ordered a Futaba 3pks with the 303 synthesized receiver. It says you have to run a 6v receiver pack for this receiver and a digital servo. There isn't much room for the receiver pack! Would a 4.8v pack work just as well if it was small enough. Thanks!

If you get the Lipo, check to see what the voltage should go to the receiver. You may need a voltage regulator as well.

Cool

Hey guys! I've been racing oval quite a while. do you guys see a diffrence with charging your batteries, 4200mah 4-cell, at 5amps or 6? I don't see any diff. and was wondering what your preferences were?

You might notice that at 6amps your car is slightly faster at the cost of a little runtime compared to 5 Amps.
I normally charge my 4200's at 5.5Amps

My old trusty Nova millenium chargers can't temp-charge.
However, I do use a home-made battery cooler during charging.
My battery cooler is basically just a fan in a piece of foam that holds my packs.
