Mark seems to have left out some important details!!!!

Like the FACT that he got 4th place OUT OF 20 CARS!!!!!!!
Not bad for a first time out!!!!!

Saw lots of cars on two wheels.....even saw one with three people inside with all four pointed towards the sky!!! Outcome: one very ruined 32k WRXSTI.....

And how about the cowboy and his pickup with Arkansaw plates.....roadrage overtakes drunk cowboy, runs amuk on LA freeway at 6am, news at 11......
…and 21st overall out of 77….but I’ll take 4th in class and I was the top WRX in “SS4”.

Needless to say, I’ll be running quite a few of the upcoming rallies.

That brings me to our next idea – the SoCal day rallying! Five of the cars entered in the “SS2” class were rental cars. Since multiple people can enter the same car, we just get everyone together, rent a beater (buy the damage waiver) and for a few bucks each plus the entry fee, we can have a whole group come up and try it (they even have loaner helmets). We were thinking of the Sept 19th (Sunday) RallyCross in Ridgecest as a possibility so we’ve got time to iron out the details.

Default Battery labels/strapping tape

When I use strapping tape to hold down the batteries the labels on my matched packs start to come off. Do you guys shrink wrap the individual cells before you build the saddle packs?

They arent answering our calls. Im hopin Hector got in touch with em today but we are going to pursue this track if they dont get back to us. Its in Carrolton TX. I think thats a suburb of Dallas.

Oh and the whole problem of bad weather too. For a first year event to be rained out wouldnt help its chances of coming back

Try the Nissan GTP from McAllister Racing. Go to www.mcallisterracing.com/racing/. You might be able to find something on Ebay also.

You can get the AE Nissan right now: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LX2711&P=7 .

The McAllister Nissan looks to be pretty low downforce – maybe too low. The AE body (it's higher downforce than the HB Toyota) or the Dahms body (very similar in handling characteristics to the Protoform Peguot) would both be better bets IMO.
