Default High Temperature Silicone Sealant

Yo all!

Is it necessary to apply 'high temperature silicone sealant' on nitro engines?

I just bought a 'oversize heatsink' for my O.S. 12cv-x which means I have to take out the old one and fix the new one...

So good people, would appreciate your views!!

Thanks

You only need to use it on the backplate, between the base of the carb and the case and on the high speed needle assembly. Dont use it on the head, thats one od the reasons there are shims on the head. I seal my engines at least once a month, that way Im sure I dont have a leak when Im tuning it.

I use Racers Choice Air Seal on all of my off road engines. Best stuff in my opinion, if I am in a pinch then I use the copper RTV.
