I have been running nothing but RB Rody 12's this year and they seem to stack up just fine compared to the JP's or anything else.

Hey Rich are the new RB 12's going to be based off Sirio cases? Any ifo on the new 12's?

Are the parts interchangeable between the C-4, C-5 and the new C-6? I have a C-4 with few hours that I really like, and would consider a C-5 piston/sleeve combo if the case and crank were similar. Any helpful info is appreciated.

Best to go to the RB site/forum with RB related questions. Questions and answers are reviewed/watched by Rody. Good, solid, information. No BS.

I think they are interchangeable, between the C-5 and the C-4. A friend of mine has the C-5 M. Collari and needed a new piston and sleeve. He was looking for the collari C-5 parts and couldn't find it. So he ended up ordering the C-4 piston and sleeve (I believe Collari modified) online for his engine. Check with the guys at ashford hobbies (www.ashfordhobby.com).

hey guys,

I've got a little query. I have a RB V12 turbo. I lost my job that i had after school so money is tight. My rb needs a rear bearing replaced is there any better bearings i can purchase other than RB? And how long is the crankcase still good.

The reason i ask is because i brought my RB and rebuilt it after it detonated and im not sure whether it was the first time anyways. i kind of dont want to spend the money on the bearing to find the case is destroying them. So how long is a crankcase normally good for and howmuch would it case me to replace it roughly?

I put a new P&S in and only got like less then 3-4 race meets before i was told my bearing was gone.

Lastly howmuch could a rear bearing affect performance?
The front one has been changed and it increased performance, but it still doesnt perform as quick as it should, in comparison, my dad's o.s. .12 tr is slightly quicker.

Cheers.

Question for you guys. I have a few spare parts lying around to build another WS7 and was wondering how much play should the rod have where it rides on the crank? I have 3 extra rods and they all have slight up and down play. I don't know if this is normal or not since I don't usually take engines apart.

Also can someone give me some tips or a link to help me get my P/S out of my RB. I need to get my current engine pinched. I know there is a certain way to take the engine apart as to not break the piston skirt.

Where is the best place to buy a new Piston/Sleeve?

Thanks,
Chad

Hello Rich Browne,

Could you please tell me the difference between the Xenon and the Xenon-R speedline motors, other than price of course :p

Thanks,
Steve

These are my observations of the two "preproduction" Speedline models Scott has been running:

The Xenon R is an AAC design. Full blown "race" motor - nicely worked crank and fitted components. Flat hauls butt. Power top and bottom end - plus GREAT milage. We could get 6 minutes 30 seconds and brand X was getting 4 minutes 10 seconds. (Don't ask who brand X is - it doesn't matter).

The Xenon is an ABC design nice motor with an attractive price point - Very nice "club" motor.

does that help?
