Sure you got the idle set high enough.... that'd anoy the crap outa me... and also bottom end sounds abit lean backing off to idle into turn...
i understand why indoor nitro racing isnt all that popular lol, imagine 8 or 10 of those things! |
I think that it's pretty hard to talk about engine settings from a video... The guy running the car knows how to set it up, it's his home track (home track as he lives in the same building). Besides with all the technical innovations in it, the engine does sound different than your regular engine when it's running.
Good news also, the engine is EFRA LEGAL, it was submitted to Franky Noens the Efra 1/10 IC track chairman and he confirmed that the Wasp Rev fulfills the requirements. Link http://www.efra.se/news/download/200...etter200mm.pdf |
I forgot where I read that.....that specific 710 with that specific engine TQ'ed and won the A main................

Maybe it is, and are we looking at a real promotional video... :D |
Looks like the power is extremely high ! The clutch setting is like for 1/8 and need to be perfect to be able to put this kind of power on the ground
|
It might be better to compare if they run that Mega engine you see on the beginning of video 2 also, just for reference of the noise in a hall.......

For the Serpent 710 do I need the Nova or Mega-Picco engine mount for the Wap rev ?

Cavalieri and Wasp REv
Ryan Cavalieri Signs!
The anticipated countdown has concluded and the big news finally revealed! Two-time and current IFMAR World 4wd Off-Road World Champion Ryan Cavalieri has signed to drive for Team Orion in 2006 and 2007! Ryan, one of the greatest young talents, will compete primarily in nitro and electric off road competition, although he will try his hand at touring cars when time permits. Team Orion’s dominant Revolution V2 modified motors will power all Cavalieri’s electric vehicles while GP3700SP2 V-Max Plus RDS competition racing cells provide maximum voltage and duration. Team Orion’s all new Wasp REV engines will power Ryan’s nitro racing vehicles. The Wasp REV’s groundbreaking technological advancements in conjunction with Ryan’s incredible driving ability will make him a favorite in every race he enters. Always very approachable, Ryan is happy to help fellow racers with their Team Orion products and anything R/C related. He will also be offering advice and answering questions on Team Orion’s Top Talk message boards. Team Orion and Ryan Cavalieri are looking forward to not only winning races, but to refining existing products and creating all-new products that offer increased performance and value |
I am not so sure all of those revolutionary engine concepts will work as well as expected,,but there will be one or two of them that will probably work well enough to incorporate.
Congrats to Team Orion for thinking outside the box! |
Wow... It's been almost 2 weeks since the last post... No release date yet??? No specs yet either??? ie. RPM, HP, torque, bore & stroke??? Orion might have a great motor but, who's going to be the 1st ginnie pig to try it out at there local track without knowing these import facts mentioned above???
Video's and eye candy are nice for those who enjoy that... But the rest of us... We want the facts before spending $250.00-300.00 dollars for a .12 nitro motor... RC_Alan |
this very true. Any Orion reps out there?
