Wow, just read the dyno test of the 3 port in rc nitro, and compared to the rc driver dyno of the 5 port, it looks like these are entirely different animals. Amazing that 2 ports can make such a polar opposite engine. Granted, the dynos/pipes/fuel are different, but still, I'm amazed at the difference in power generation. The 3 port looks like the hot ticket for the small tracks in my area. Has anyone tried the 3 port back to back with the 5 to verify the validity of the magazine's data?
So everyone knows, the 5 port appears to be an all rev engine vs the mad torque of the 3 port.
Looks like either one will be the hot engine to have if you choose properly based on your track size/layout.

hi guys.

i just signed up for this forum.

i got a g4 evo3 and it needs an engine.

i was thinking of the os12 but dont know if i should get the 3 or 5 port.
been reading you should choose based on the track you race on.

wel iam planning on racing at parking lots and on my track (see pic)
can you guys help me.

whats the best engine for the track. the 3 or 5 ports?

ps, iam not gonna race championships. its just for fun.

Is the 5 port legal at your track? that's the main ? But, personnaly, i would go with th 3 port as your track looks like it has lots of tight sections where you can pick up some time with good bottom end.

there are no 1:10 races at my track because there aint enuf peeps with 1:10
only 1:5 and 1:8.
so iam just driving for the fun of it, on the track and on parkinglots with my friends ntc3.

oh. maybe this is a too big of a question.
but would it be possible you could scan the dyno articles?and mail it to me?
i live in Holland and here we dont get those mags.
tried ordering. but that wil cost me 35 dollar. bit much :S.

if not. too bad, but thnx anyways
