Default Sirio .12 EVO STI

Hi,

How do I know if this engine is a evo 1,2 or 3? The title is what it says on the head. The box says S12-TRP 1 or I

Anyone have experience with this motor? I have some questions. I got it used in a used car I got, Kyosho V-one RRR WCTE.

Im running 25% VP fuel, and when I shut it off for the day, was running strong, and still has good pinch. But the head button had the dreaded pit marks and a light sand blasted look, and so does the top of the piston. I think it can be saved I will clean it up a light polish with 1000 grit or something. And it has one copper and one sliver shim, sliver is thicker and copper is thin. Why do u think it did this? Now hear me out, it runs hard, it was 90 out today, and would hit 300. If I would fatten it up one hour on the top performance would go down and temps to 265. Took the hour back out and strong again at 300 deg. Thoughts? Another shim?

Thanks

I think after 11 years that engine has become scrap metal and may be casted to some car part or kitchen supply.

Cherish your engine and keep it well oiled and below 270 degrees. The new engines do not impress me at all...
