It will work fine with an STS 22604 pipe...since you can tune the lenght on it I'm sure you'll find the optimal lenght for it without problems...and still you have the cutting resource you knoew about.

I pulled the front bearing off yesterday, it was ceased! I replaced it, now everything is fine! Before you get too excited and bless us with your lounge chair expertise, think before you blow hot air!

People in Mexico usually run TZ's 5 ports Turbo engines with 0.2mm clearence and 40% nitro ... and engines last a whole year of hard racing without any problem ...

RODY I THINK YOUR PROBLEM IS NOT A CHEAP MOTOR. O.S. IS ONE OF THE BETTER MANUFACTURER OF NITRO ENGINES, VERY RELIABLE THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN COMPARED TO A TIMEX WATCH, (TAKES A LICKING AND KEEPS ON TICKING). THERE IS ALWAYS A CHANCE TO GET A BAD MOTOR FROM ANY ONE. THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE FOR BROKEN CONNECTING ROD IN NEW MOTOR IS IMPROPER BREAKIN.TOO MUCH PINCH AT HIGH RPM LOTS OF STRESS ON CONNECTING ROD. WE HAVE SEVERAL TZ AT OUR TRACK AND NOBODY HAS HAD ANY PROBLEMS.MY MOTOR TOOK OVER 12 TANKS BEFORE IT STARTED TO REALLY MAKE POWER

guys, rody & his buddy are experienced racers.
i've raced with them before and they know what they are doing.
they've used JPs, Novas & RBs before and for the 2 of them to encounter problems with their new TZ3s lead me to think that it could be a problem with the engine itself. like what's mentioned, it could be a batch of poor quality products. someone sleeping on his job?

i have used OS's in the past. in fact, it has always been the engine of choice for my buggy.

so to hear news like this is really disappointing... but i'll continue to keep an open mind

Default is my engine blown ?

hey guys
i had a pretty bad day with the os tz today

it would not at all hold its tune, and was so gutless the pull starts were keeping up with me.

i came home and stripped the engine to see whats going on, their doesnt seam to be any blow by on the piston but it is all scratched around the round edge.. i had one of the more experienced engine tuners at th track trying to keep it tuned but no luck...

the compression feels kinda tight but the flywheel is able to be turned around
it was running a bit on the leaner side so i guess there was no lubricating happening.. what should i do ? replace piston/sleeve ? engine has had about 2 gallons
