surikan ran a zac modified novarossi at the winternats
I had to look twice, it did look like a TZ but it was definitely not an OS.

I used one at the winterchamps, I'll tell you, HP was NOT the problem! :tire: :tire:

Youll need also the crankshaft for the 5 port if you want to do that.

And i have seen both run and my local tracks and the both go rocket fast and i talked to the drivers and they both said they were awsome. Im ordering right now, will let you know which one i get.

EDIT: Well i just ordered it! I got the Novarossi N12LL3, MX-3 Synthesized and 4 ellegi pairs...a 37 shore, and 40 fronts and 42 and 45 rears. Now i just can't wait for them to come :)

I don't know what really works at your track, but the rear foams are almost always softer then the fronts and you ordered the opposite

Krasi_5000 11-23-2005 12:01 PM

well every other engine on the track is either a LL3 or a TZ so i don't think thats a problem. Both local tracks are pretty short and technical with a like 60 foot straight. Last season all i ran was softer if front harder in rear like 35/37 or 40/42 and it always stuck like it was on rails. I actually got that combo cause the pro level racers said that softer in the front is better. I never really expirimented cause i didnt have much $$ but i think this season i will put harder infront and softer in rear and see how it works.

Thanks

Can Nova plugs be used on the TZ?

Someone on this thread said no, I think. Compare the conical part of the plug, if its the same, then yes, you can use them. Only mega picco plugs are longer where the conical end is.

mugen shimo pipe, os 1040 and skyline vr12 are the best choices for the tz, got mugen and I´m very happy with it!

anyone has tried the os eb mod that tower sells for 320? well actually less than 300 if considering the online coupon

nitrothugg 11-24-2005 11:34 AM

switching between 3 and 5 ports requires no mods

you can drop the 5 port p/s set into a 3 port with no mods. i have flipped between both. i bought the 3 port version and wanted to try the 5 port and didnt have no issues. the 5 port was actually easier to break in.

Theres no doubt that the 5 port p/s will fit in the crankcase. But I believe the cuts made to the 5 port crankshaft isnt the same as the ones made to the 3 port. Port timing changes so it affects the overall performance of the engine, and I believe it isnt a good factor.
