Hi, does anyone know something about this engine? Just cannot find any technical info. Is new one for December and have seen it in one shop but there is nothing about it as well.

Oops!......rp? ...i didn t notice , but i don t really think that rp represents the 2012 line up......maybe redrc was influenced by the RP9 and called the 12 series line up RP as well......i ve read for the xp series 3.5 and 3.9 models .... I know nothing about the rp3.5 ....i believe it s the engine with the link i indicated....just wrong name in red rc
It s just my opinion
That s why you can t find any specifications about rp3,5...........it s definately wrong name.....i don t know .... I ll ask the max power dealer here in GReece if he knows something , but wherever i have searched about the new max power 12 engines i saw nowhere the rp codename in front
It s just my opinion

I think that is new evolution of rr3 or something.

the misunderstanding comes from max itself as it has on its website
the xp3.5 and xp 3.9, if you download the parts list on the italian site , on the xp 3.5 it is rp 3.5 and for the xp 3.9 it is xp3.5.
both engines i assume will arrive end of january to the US

If you look at the pics, it most certianly says RP3 and then something you can't quite make out, both in the HK shops listing pic and Red RC pics.
The question is though, what sort of power to budget range will it be in, because I know the old RR3 seems terrible value, it's basically a N12T1, at twice the price, so looking at the RP3?, it vaguely looks like the LL3 carb, so right off the bat it's nearly $100 more than the Nova it's based off.
Don't get me wrong, sexy engines, and hey I could also be dead wrong on the specs, but aside from looking like trailer trash, the budget Novas seem to offer far better value.

Hi
I'm wondering how the two named engines perform. Is there anybody who has already tested these engines?
Also the carb in plastic, is it the way to avoid restart problems? On the other hand the Max RP3.9 has an alloy carb.
Thanks for your input.
