With new engines the brightness of the light does not matter much so far I have seen. the sharp edges of the ports and small tolerances is cutting the light as a sharp knive.

Indeed as you are mentioning I do have some small difficulties with rounded edges and the V-shape exhaust ports but indeed if you use a steady methode for it you will get far.

I use a depth gauge and a known thickness stopper. 100% consistent.

This is the setup i use, I find it extremly accurate, i do find that the key to accuracy is using a dull light.

? whats the down side if u raise the timing 1 degree and its not good what happens, i mean does it get slower, ruff idle, hard to tune do u loose bottom end or top or it just dont get faster... thanks
