The crankshaft and the case is different on the x12 versus the v12. The V12 uses larger bearings to support the larger crank. Because the bearings are larger they had to make the holes in the case larger. Not only that, but the V12 case is supposed to have some fins on it to make it stiffer. I have both engines, but haven't actually put them side by side.

Originally posted by RC Dumb what the difference bettween 410 and 430 series? So in the new V12 series the difference is that 410 is Std head (for normal plugs) and a crank without turbo scoop. The 430 has a turbo head (for turbo plugs) and a crank with turbo scoop. Other than that, the rest is exactly the same...crank timing, sleeve porting and timing, etc. etc. The difference between old X12 series and new V12 series is that the old series had the 11mm crank and no milling of the base of boost port on the crankcase. The new series has 11.5mm crank and milling on the base of boost port of crankcase, and new series gets different crank bearings, front is smaller in external dia. and rear is bigger in internal dia. so crankcase is different size too. seems like they're mixed up here, according to afm.

(front to back) are you running overdrive and such? |
I was trying to run only on the 1st gear as he does, but failed. All the cars passed me. I was just wondering why my engine is not that powerful as his. :(

thanks, afm.
