Was there!! Serpent Impulse, Impact, & Vector. Still have all 3 cars. Too bad the 235mm class had lost interest on racing in the US.. Maybe in Europe. I had to leave during pratice on go back to LA cuz, personal reason with the family.

Very true I liked racing my 235 over the touring and 1/8 scale, but 1/8 scale cars are crazy fast. My HPI was running out of gear while at the nationals, I would have had a Impulse but it was back ordered at the time and my sponsor yet not sponsor(we got parts for R&D purposes) had made all extra light chassis parts for our cars for the race so when people ask me about my swiss cheese edition Wolf Pack Radicals chassis I tell them there are only about 5 of them.

I feel the Vector, Impact M2 & Impulse suspension wise was stronger the the 733 & 966. Health wise I sold my 733 & 966. Sold the 960, wish I hadn't cuz I could of converted to a 966e, electric version. I've been out of the racing seen for a couple years now. I give some help with people I meet at a local track.
Impact M2 was quick enough as the 8th scale, just a tad cheaper. Too bad it died down, But if you find some one who does have one. its a gas seeing them out there!!!

I never broke anything on my Impact except maybe the spur gears for the two speed, I forgot the thread lock on the engine mount bolts in the heat of tuning between qualifiers. My Vector I broke a shock once they are very well built cars for sure

You know the impulse and the Impact are the same chassis and suspension!! Only differance is the drives and wheel adapters. Was thinking about swaping part between the two. I'd like to see how the impulse would react to a one-way clutch in the front.

That was one of the reasons I wanted to switch over to all Serpents, fewer parts to carry. A friend of mine had a one way in his Impulse but the problem with it is the TC width and tires so if would spin out super easy, where as the Impact had the advantage with the wider rear tires and being wider in general.
