Strange HPI .12 engine-anyone know about it???

Does anyone have or know how this engine does?

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXAAE3&P=7

It is an HPI .12 made by novarossi. Claims to be an awesome .12 from HPI. Will it fit or even work in my side exhaust tc3? Not sure about the crankshaft, will ntc3 clutch fit?

You can do better with a Fantom engine from www.stormerhobbies.com

This motor is Nova Rossi made, I have one as well as a couple of the Evo 1's. This motor is very similar to the MT12 and is a pretty good 1+hp motor. The price sure is right, I paid about 200 for it a couple of years ago.

Yes it will work fine in the NTC3, you will need to cut the crank but the nice thing about these motors is that the threaded part of the crank can be replaced without replacing the crank.

here are the specs:
Displacement: 2.1cc
Bore: 13.8mm
Stroke: 14mm
Crankshaft Dia: 11mm
PS/Max RPM: 1.25hp/34,500rpm
Weight: 210g
Carb: 5.4m opening Rotary-Carb, 2 needle adjustment
Porting: Triple ports, profile Cast

You can change the carburator to the 5.5mm slide carb and improve the acceleration of this motor. I had it on my HPI Rs4-Races 2 and it was a screamer! Also you can converted over to a turbo motor .
