whats wrong with novarossi plugs? im running nova plugs in my rossi and have been on the same plug for ages!

Read about them.. Do a search. Novarossi plugs have been failing at an alarming rate. I am even seeing some new ones that dont work right out of the package.

How old are the plugs you have?

Only bad ones I have seen are the Ultra Novarossi Plugs with the Silver body (instead of the Black ones).

I use regular Novarossi plugs, and have no problems at all!

I'm out running those newer semi-priced lrp's and novarossi's easily... One of the best ever I'm sure. I have the 3 port EFRA legal but anyhow (this should be even for more power)

Those are too old.

I'd prefer suggesting RB Junior Line instead of those engines.

Previous to that (last time I was running novarossi engines) it was just the opposite. The regular plugs were junk and you had to buy the Ultras.

Old yes, but it's not a bad thing! You can still get replacement parts for those. And crazy fast, excellent quality.

I was just racing a buggy from ca. 2000 (MP75) and was faster than the guys with those fancy Xray Spec '10 cars :)

What makes you think those being old is bad (they don't have an expiry date as far as I know) ?

The RBt9j is based on the v12

I have used both.

Regular plugs and Ultras.

Ultra plugs last a lifetime, but those with the black body and golden tip.

If your ultra plug has a silver body, then it will go bad very fast.

I am currently using the regular ones and haven't had any major issue with them.

Somehow I have it hard to believe that you would get something as good with half the cost. Haven't seen that happening :D

It's like the good old Nissan that's made in Turkey

Novarossi 08 353 PLUS2

Hey Jas,

I wouldn't discount the TJ9 with a Ballistik mod done mate I know of a few guys in pull start that run these in pro tourer out our local track and they are just as quick as a standard 353 09 or R3 with a rotor start mechanism on. So without the rotorstart mechanism these little engines would absoultly scream. At the moment Sean is doing a TJ9 for my pullstart Edam and in actual fact I'm thining about getting another one of these and removing the pullstart mechanism and getting Sean @ Ballistik to mod it as a club day motor to save my other T9 motors for big events.

Also if i'm not mistaken they utilise a Rody piston and liner from stock. This is what RB had left when JPM ordered these engines and the yes the crank etc is based on the V12 even to the point it has the V12 marking all over them.

There my thoughts mate you wont be disappointed :tire::nod:

LiL_JaSoN 05-24-2010 10:34 PM

or maybe a 353 08 PLUS2 with a ballistik mod? lol

edit:.. i just have re-made up my decision.. RC T10 Junior or RC10 Competition.

because i can get it cheaper, parts are easier to get, share parts from the RC9 (conrod) and its a newer engine.

Need a new .21 engine for my 8ight t 2.0

I want to buy a new engine for my 8ight t 2.0 and I've been looking at several different name brands and h/p ratings . I like the Novarossi Nero Tero the FMS and the plus 4. On the other hand I've also been looking at the JS Racing EB fully Modified .21 and the Mike Truhe CRF.21 What do ya'll think would be the best choice. I also would like to have the engine that I would have the most availablity to parts as well as support too! Any comments!!! Trying to spend my money wisely. Thanks RC FREAK
