RB Concepts C5
#1
I just bought a car that has a RB Concepts C5 engine. I am finding it hard to find much information about the engine. I have seen threads stating that it is an onroad engine. The head looks offroad..ish. Dunno. Help.
Also looking for a backplate for the engine. The C6 backplate does not fit. Another Help.
Thanks!

A C5 with an offroad head. If it does have a 7 poort sleeve it can be a C5B(B)
If it does have a 3 port sleeve and a 13mm crankshaft (I believe) it can also be a CS , that was some kind of a low budhget engine by then a model under the S5.

Hi Zootcapri, I had the offroad C5 for several years, one of the best (if not THE best) engine I've ever had. It was the original, not BB or anything like that, see:

Just bought this one for my RRR, Rody tuned V12:

(Pipe is going to change for a V -type)

Mika.... That is the exact engine.
Roelof... not sure on the # of ports. Will look. Mika's top photo is the engine.
qjmcrae... this is the engine that came with the used GT I bought. Haven't been able to run it. Took some time just to clean it up.
Any ideas on sourcing a backplate? I don't want to put the pullstart back on.
