Default RB C9 Vs NOVA FLASH Vs P9R

Ok... I need a top notch engine, after a lot of search I ended up with these three as the more powerful.

RB XENON ALPHA was an option but RB claims that the C9 is the most powerful engine they ever built and it's 2009 model.

The Novarossi Flash has some incredible specifications, 2.9hp and 46.300 rpm max claimed

The P9R I know that is a reliable and powerful engine.

And...shall I consider the OS VZ-R??

So people.... what whould be your choice, if money is not a factor!

If you are considering an OS, wait for their XZ speed version that Shimo used during the recent worlds at Lostallo. At the moment my pick will be Flash Tuned.

Nova or Nova based always has the best quality. OS is nice, but i don't think they would be as reliable/durable as Nova.

RB and Nova would be nice. Picco's quality is not very good. I just read a thread about someone got the Picco Red dot blew up. Nasty!!! Definitely No on Picco.

Between RB and Nova. I would get Nova Flash.

yep, the 3rd picture, it's difficult to tell, but it looks as if the engine overheated once... it also looks quite "dirty" on the inside....

this one:

i dun understand what so good about nova engine??? in record i think the nova factory engines has not been winning much races, it always the 3rd party mod version that win races.....

talk about lastly, i felt that nova engine will become a total waste if u were just do have a little mis-tune on it, but the GRP nad PICCO engine i am using are not so sensitive to mis-tuning.

if nova is so good and so much factory drivers, why had nova not won any of the 10th scale world race????

hahaha
just my 1 cent thought

A lot of that has to do with the car. Xray and Kyosho seem to be winning everything these days. The top Xray drivers here in the states are sponsored by RC America, so they run Maxpower (Nova based). Most of the Kyosho guys are sponsored by Sirio. That being said, I would agree that there are lots of good non-Nova .12's out there. I'm a big fan of the Piccos.

As for .21s, Nova just won the Worlds and the ROAR Nats.

the 8th scale on-road world race is won by a MLC nova, not a factory nova. that is what i meant by 3rd party mod version..

And that goes for all engines in the top 24 drivers at the worlds, no out of the box engine from which brand ever is used to get such high positions.

I bet you've learned your tunning skills on a Picco, or not?...
And everybody knows that the engine you will learn it on, will be destroyed....

No problem bro, I've learned it on a Veco 19, and Thunder Tigre .21 after that...
Not the best, but good to learn...

Reminds me of two the war of barbies My doll is better no mine! i think you guys went far off the topic,.. the sadist thing about it is that all these engines that are top or not, from box or not, are all novarossi base, we forgot how engines works, ok guys Air/fuel........ the rest is up to you... we all may have some bad moment with a particular engine doesn't mean that is not good, it could be a lot off other issues to look in too: % fuel/climate, clutch adjustment, tire size,Gear ratio, track ...... I've raced from Novarossi, Rb, Max power, Picco, on my 1/8th from 7 ports to 9 ports, and all the flashes at the end of the day is about preferences, and what your $$ can Buy.
if your in to specs and what the Manufacture advertise, you're in for a treat!
the flash 2.9hp vs Max TQ9 2.95hp, but again rpm, when does it peak, is it low, mid, high, range.

I agree with you but just want to point out that Swauger was a factory Nova, not some other modder. I know, you knew that and neither one of us really cares but someone here seems to. Also he just won the nats with that factory Nova.

True, but those "Factory Nova's" we can't buy. They are modded in Italy, sealed and send to the team drivers.
Max TQ is another story - It is hand modified by M. Fantini and can't be compared with a "box engine". In addition, we can buy it...
