I am using Trinity Monster 25% with Nova t6 plug. And I am having some problem tuning the engine. It dies off ever time I hit the throttle.
Did tried to set the high end richer, but no help.

Thanks,
In our country we use Tornado fuel and we dont have problem tunning the RR12L5. Please try also Tornado fuel

I had the same problem, I run Sidewinder 30% and experienced issues like what you described. The problem was with the front bearing. I wasn't sealing and was getting too much air and stalling out. I replaced it and havn't had any more problems since.

What about if it dies 1 or 2 seconds AFTER full throttle ? for instance 1 sec or 2 sec of full throttle, let the car carry some speed before entering a corner, and suddenly the engine is sleeping zzzzzzzzz.

I'm using new glow plug and clean engine.

I'm using NSR12S3 now. I tried RR12L3 before and found the wear of RR is faster than NSR.

Had tried other fuel like Tornado and O'donnel, just same result.
When I go slow, its ok. When I hit full throttle, same like the other case, it just go zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Does any know the factory settings for all the needles? I guess I have to reset it all and start adjust it again.

Thanks a lot!

The RR is just fine. It is the longer stroke version of the NSR. The RR and NSR are the same engine, except they have a different crankshaft. Same piston, sleeve, rod, carb, case, bearings etc.

I believe the piston, sleeve, crankcase and the underhead are also different between RRL and NSR

Hi guys, hope to get some answers here. The new nova engines come with microcasted pistons...are they more resistant to wear compared to the older CNC machined ones? Someone who has tried both give us their views? Also, how many gallons of fuel on average can the engine last before losing its pinch? TIA.

I was told that it does not really make a difference except in cost of production. Microcasting is cheaper for mass production but more expensive to make changes. CNC is more time consuming thus more expensive but you can make changes from one piston to the next easily.
