Novarossi engines thread

Two things... An answer and a question!
1)A: When checking the number of turns on the bottom needle, its referring to the thread left on the needle, so pull open the throttle before you try.
2) Q: Whos got tips for keeping a carby fixed to a nova. I over tighten the carby screw on the block and may have snapped it. Any tips?

Carbie
Harry.
Remove the locking blocks from the carbie and the side with no thread, remove half a mil from the very inside this will allow the 2 blocks to come closer together

I'm driving an IGT2 with an axial .32 and ofna 086 pipe now but I want to replace the motor with something that will give me more top speed.im not racing just looking to have good motor that's better than the current setup.
thanks for the help.

The Ison 7 port will have more power, and top speed than the Ison GT. The Ison gt will run cooler due to the large GT specific cooling head.

Would there be any problem trying to use the Nova ISON GT engine in on a 8th buggy offroad?
I assume the GT has more rpms because its for onroad.. but would it be ok to use offroad?

If i am correct there are two versions of that motor. A GT 5 port rally version and a 7 port on road version

You can always use such an engine, probably you have to run a smaller pinion because onroad engines have less bottom torque. The main problem you will face is milage, for sure 8+ minutes can be difficult to reach.

I have a question about the .12 Virtus
I bought one when it 1st came out. I probably have have about 3 gallons but I'm going on my 2nd main bearing already. I haven't over heated the engine but for what ever reason the bearing is going bad.
I ran at the Airtronics race last weekend and blew 2 glow plugs in the main. After checking the conrod, we discovered it has a little play and needs to be replaced. We measured the pin on the crank and it was within specs just in case it was worn.
What would cause my bearing to go out so fast? 2 $100+ bearing in less than 1 year is a pretty steep price to pay. I decided to just order the complete rebuild kit. Anyone have any ideas what would cause this?
