Hi,

The P/S/R set for the flash .21 special and .21 PT have different part #s... 08568/10 and 08568/11 respectively.

I am just trying my luck, but would they happen to be identical?

sam

The timing, and dimensions are the same. The difference is that the PT has the hard coated piston. You can use the PT set in the Flash special, and vice versa.

I have two sydney kangooroo .21 engine, 7 ports.

After original p/s/r is dead, is it okay if I replace it with 9 ports ? ..... ( they have the same bore x stroke )

Im thinking of using 9 ports from 35plus 21 or 21 flash.

If you get the 35+ buttonhead with it.

But do not get fooled, 9 ports does not make a difference.

When do I have to change the conrod, apart from after running certain amount of fuel through it? And how do I check for the endplay of the con rod?

353 08 .12

Hi All,

Q1)
I am running novarossi 353 08 .12 with 25% fuel.
After break-in, how many shim should I use?

Q2)
I am not a fast driver.........top end engine isnt a must for me and I dont need to run the engine too lean.
I am planning to get a nova N12T1 or LL3 for trainning purpose and cheaper maintance cost in long run.
Are they similar? which one is better in term of useful life.

Thank you!

A1) to be safe, add another 0.2mm ........... actually dont use 25 percent. 16 and 20 percent is already perfect for .12 engine. The problem of using 25 percent is too hot, thus you have to richen the needle to make it running not too hot. There is a chance you will not make the 5 minute run time with 25 percent nitro as consequences. ( I'm assuming you have same number of laps with other racers ).

A2) no need to buy another engine. Use that engine for 5 to 6 races, and sell it away. Buy a new engine again after that. Tips: 1). Never overheat your engine, the piston head surface will damage. Keep it running between 110 - 120 Celcius. 2). Never overheat your engine, you might end up with glow plug's element melted and ruined the piston sleeve. 3). Always clean the piston sleeve and give plenty after run oil after use.

Thanks for the info. For some odd reason everytime I try to access the Novarossi site. My antivirus program blocks it because of a malicious cookie:eek::eek::eek::confused::confused::confused :
