urgent help needed...
(Sorry to hijack this thread... but really need urgent help and advice, many thanks...)
Hello all JP lovers ,
Need some urgent help and advice...
I just got my first JP , was very excited about it but unfortunately the clutch bell bearings ARE NOT ABLE TO SLIDE IN to my surprise
I have other engines nova 353, os tz, nova max etc... and never had this problem but this is my first JP , by the way my clutch set is from the mugen mtx4r...
Appreciate if anyone could share if they encounter any sort of this experience... Many thanks !

Got it. Give it to me next time you see me or Ricky if you see him first.
Answered in the JP thread.

With the Exergen it's more realistic.
I run mine at 130-140°C, which is around 100°C at the block, directly under the head.
Further, you modified that engine, which also brings the temps up.

These engines with the new cooling head do show higher temperatures when you measure, especially when you have a cheap temp gun.

230 is break in temp .
Kidding aside, tune your motor to performance and smoke trail. You'll notice that it will run best at about 260 to 290 degrees Farenheit depending on your location (some location are already hot like where I'm from 135 degrees asphalt on raceday is normal ).

I've had my +12 for over 1.5 years now and running on 5 gallons of Mugen 30% or O donnel 30% running at race temps of 230f to 269f depending on performance for the day....
I just checked the rod and the top of the piston and everything is o.k.
I've been running the skyline pipe with a nova/medium conical header with decent performance...
I just bought the nova 2630 pipe so I'll let you guys know what the differences are....

composite / plastic carburator (carb)
I have a Novarossi 12-sct plus, does anyone know if there is a plastic / composite carbuator (carb) that will fit? I run in hot weather, I run the first 10 minutes just fine then start to have vapor lock issues.

the thing is that i re checked everything, and a guy on the track told me that my centax was not right, 'cause he said that my centax was hot, it' was like 160-170f, it had great grip but i don't know if i had just set the centx right, what do you think?
it's good to know that i will be safe if i run the engine between 240-270f, great to know.

I've never temped my clutch for settings... just set the clutch so the motor does not bog. tune the motor for performance and just use the temp gun so you don't run the motor past 300f

The carb of the Picco Evo 3 will fit. It's a composite carb with a plastic insulation around the neck. Works great, not hot starting issues on the Picco.
