How so? More torque, tope end or both? Do you think the 2602 would also be a good fit for the plus 12?

The JP came with the R5 and the 21-7 came with the R7, but checked dimensions and the R5, R6 and R7 are the same. Only changes small details: R5 is the heavyest, R6 is lighter but comes without the upper bronze bushing (and I think that needs a hardcoated wrist pin - only available thru JP Racing) and the R7... seems to be almost light like the R6 but with upper bronze bushing.

Those are Off-Road engines, they buzz on my truggy...

Salvatori, Uriah, ... ?

I'd stick with the R5 and R7. IF the engines are dynamically balanced, you'd want like for like replacements due to balancing the crank to the weight of the components.

Personally, I'd steer clear of the non-bushed rod.

This pipe got more of anything, trust me. Yes, I'm also running it on a Plus 13-3ST with great results.

You should consider trying the novarossi pipe. You will be surprised.

He said he is currently running it with the Nova 2630 pipe and manifold.

go with the R5 for the JP one...........

you would not achieve better performance with a lighter one, so stick with the most reliable one since you will not gain anything noticable specially racing offroad......

I haven't seem the JP version in person, but I'd only stick with the R7 in the PLUS 21-7 since it's supposed to be reliable even with the light conrod.......

Guys, need some input here from anyone that has ran both, or ran with either a Nova +12Ct/2630 or a Max Power SL3 combo. I run on smallish track and an engine with a decent bottom to midrange would be nice. Just needing some opinion as I can't find much on the SL3. I do see that the +12 is a longe stroke whereas the SL3 is closer to a square stroke, so I would think the +12 may have a little better bottom end.

FWIW I've been running a Ninja in my NT1 and it can be ballistic, but I've had one too many days of chasing a tune.

thanks

Is this the Mega pipe you are talking about? http://www.serpent.com/product/223015/

Does anyone know where to get these in the US? The only places I can find that sell these are overseas.

Yes, it's the same than the Max Power 2602 (the Max comes also with the same conical header):

I don't know who imports max engines to the US.
