Sorry, can't help...... I'm using 30% nitro and 7TF.

My home climate is near sea level, .... hot and humid ( 34C with 60% - 65% humidity ). A bit like in Hong Kong in June - July.

Hi guys, thanks for all your help so far with my new Max LS3. Ran it on the weekend ended up with the bottom needle ONLY 1& 3/4 turns out. Any further out and the engine wont idle for more than 10 sec, slowly just drops rpm and stalls. I know its rich if i have the bottom needle any further out because as you give it a small rev it coughs raw fuel out before it catches and revs. My problem is that even with the bottom needle at up to 4 turns out the bottom runs on for about 3 sec before coming to a nice reliable idle, IT is not running on because it is to lean, its different, it just seems to drop down to a very high idle and then takes about 3 sec to drop right down. Almost like you have "Idle Up" on. (At least it never stalls on the start) Only real problem with it doing this is in hairpin corners it doesnt allow the clutch to tottally disengage and can throw the car into the fence if you arent careful. Should I just put up with this running on and tighten up my clutch a bit ??

Sounds like you need to lean out the top needle and richen the bottom at the same time. Also keep checking the idle screw after each change to make sure that you don't have it screwed in too much. As you lean the top out, you may need to take the idle screw out some.

My SL3 just fully broke in this past weekend. When I get home from work, I'll look at the needle settings and post them tonight. :)

Is Turbo SG crankshaft legal under EFRA / IFMAR 2007 rules ??

Consider N12 LL-3 versus N12 LL-T3. Is T3 legal now ?

Novarossi plus 21-3

I'm trying to find out some info on the PLUS 21-3, mainly durability. Didn't seem to have a lot of pinch before I started breakin and it doesn't seem like it will last very long. 3 tanks so far with heat cycle method as I always do, temps 180-190 deg. Did these motor have a durability issue?

I have 2 12-3 engines one new and one used . when the engines are new they
pinch so hard that you have to use a hairdryer to get them fired up.
And even then it stil locks up .
My used engine has 7 liters and 6 races trough it and stil touches the cilinder in tdc position.(changed the conrod after 5 liters).
Durability is good the 12-3 outlasts a mega 12 ds2 and a sirio evo3 by far.
I have used the mega and the sirio the same way i have used the 12-3 so
for me its novarossi all the way.

No more Mega DSII for you?...

But, about the pinch, the Mega doesn't have a lot of pinch either. I don't see why a lot of pinch will enlarge the durabillity...

Don't get me wrong the mega ds2 is a realy fast engine but not as durable as
the novarossi engines.

m7h where are you from?

I was only reffering to the fact that in my opinion a hugh pinch or not doesn't really tell you if the engine will last long or not.......

m7h where are you from?
Also from Holland.....
