thanks 20 smoke for that info i have a skyline vr12 pipe but the spring holes on the header pipe have worn away can a replacement pipe be got

20 SMOKE 03-08-2009 04:25 PM

you should be able to find a replacement header but i would just make a new hole for the spring.that pipe will work but if you can find one used get it, you want be disappointed

ger-dub 03-10-2009 08:25 AM

ok so far made new holes in the header thanks 20 smoke for tip ;) fitted it got "turbo" glow plug and have it all set up to run but i think the fella in my local hobby store which was usless to be honest sold me the wrong fuel :weird: he gave me Tornado 16% NM will i be ok to use this or is it for bigger engines????

You may try Picco no. 6 Turbo plug

I prefer Orion plugs:
ORI88825 CRF Turbo Plug No. 5 (Hot)
ORI88826 CRF Turbo Plug No. 6 (Medium)

For my experience, Picco engines need to have more head shims (from 0.5 to 0.7 mm, 16% nitro). You'd better try different shims thickness in order to get the best performance.

the 16 is fine i my self am going to go down once i have gone through my 20%,just take out one shim and you should be good.and these thing like a lot of clutch, when you get it right it hits hard and comes of the corner fast

That VR12 is a good pipe but the header material is to soft and wears out over time. Its a common problem. I've gone thru 3 headers, each with extra holes drilled on each side. Now I have three pipes, one header. I think nova has one that is compatible with the VR12.
