Long stroke?

Long stroke?
Can someone enlighten me on what does long stroke engine means?
How is it different from the "regular"s?
Cheers.

Long stroke: Stroke > bore
Square stroke: Stroke = bore
Short stroke: Stroke < bore
Long stroke has more torque because the crankpin is more out of center and makes less rpm because the longer distance the piston has to make.
Short stroke has less botom power because the crankpin is closer to the center but due the shorter travel of the piston it can make more rpm's
Personally taking a look to current longstroke engines 16.8mm x 16.2mm (square = 16.4 x 16.4) you can not realy say it is longstroke but going out from the same exhaust port height there is 0.4mm more combustion stroke before the exhaust opens what does give more power but also more room to play with the height of the exhaust port for more RPM.
