an hour or two thats a lot...

mine also still stuck tdc while cold...guess its still not broken in fully yet, hope by the next race later on it will be fully broken in and see it's true potential

If you keep on running the engine in race tune, while not fully broken in, it will take a long time before the engine will hold it's tune and be fully usable.
I had the same "problem" with my IDM .21.
I suggest you tune the engine rich again (HSN 6-9 hours richer) and run it for another 4 tanks at WOT on the track, keeping the temp around 80C / 175F
Don't run the engine warmer, because then it will take to long to take away some pinch...

any of you guys out there running the .12 evo4 idm motor, what are your thoughts on it? are the rods more reliable now they have abit more meat round them, and does the engines hold there tune

my only experience with picco motors are the serpent versions, hoping these have been improved on, they were ballistically fast but lean them selves out in a half hour final

I ran the .21 that have the updated carb which are more easier to tune.
I think the .12 Evo4 should be better than the 3 with the new carb

I have been running the evo4 since nats in Toledo and switched rods at about the 2gal mark including the break-in. You can actually feel the rod getting loose instead of before where the evo3's would just snap with no warning.

ABC.

If you need runtime (which should not be a problem, but depends on the track you run) get the Picco branded 2033 pipe and header.
If you want to get the most out of it (I can reach 5.10 min with it) get the Novarossi 2052 with medium header (41016)...

Also the Picco 2033 pipe with Novarossi medium header seems to work really well, the engine will rev till the moon.....

Also if you can find the 3031 pipe as well will work good. There is also the 2058 I think it is from Sirio. That also works well.

Default .21 evo3 vs evo4

anyone knows what's the differences in performance between the 21 evo3 and evo4?

what characteristics of the engine has been changed from 3 to 4?
