I know Russell, He is alone the North America distributor.

In Italy we have maugrafix, and in malaysia nagateamracing ..but where they make these engines???

Rocket42 12-08-2006 04:02 PM

the engines are made in taiwan but they use the same quality materials as the italian engines. So far results for performance and longevity have been stellar and have gone above and beyond everyones sterotype of taiwanese quality. I didn't know this thread existing but now that i do i will try to come on here and answer questions about the engines.

You too could be an esteemed racer, young weed-hopper. at 2.7hp **cough**, you should dominate!

Rocket42 12-10-2006 01:25 PM

oh and to answer the first question the engines are not made by sh. they are not made in the same factory either it is a completely seperate manufacturing facility

Not SH ..then what are the manufacturer? :weird:

Rocket42 12-11-2006 11:03 PM

They are made by Go Technologies.

sport10 12-12-2006 02:37 PM

The new engines look nice. When will the 7 port be available? How does the 5 port compare to at P5X powerwise. I like the price on the 5 port and having good experience with another taiwanese made engine called Thunder tiger in the past I would be willing to give these a try.

sport10 the 7 ports are on there way but i don't reccomend them unless you race at a large track, the 5 ports put out good top end when piped and geared right. the engine is very similar to the p5x but with a smoother powerband and better fuel economy.

pino the north american distributor for the go tech engine is www.racefactorindustries.com if you have any questions about the engines they will be more than happy to answer them for you. the Italian distributor is www.maugraffix.com if your in europe. you can reach racefactor on the comment page

Hey Jeremy

We do those too , They mod up great ! Ive done a few for some drivers ,Ian Haley ran mine at the Off Road Worlds In Jakarta and Niki Kwong has been ripping it up in China with 2 of my Go Tech MM Modified motors .. Hes been winning quite a few titles and TQ honors as well up against some serious motors . They run well stock but modded they wake up something fierce.

Very strong well made motor, Go Tech are pulling no punches with this motor. Here is a pic of a Go .28 im doing for one of the boys in the US.

Sirio2127 01-05-2007 12:54 AM

Nice Mark Keep up the good work very intersting and unique port work. The Go-Tech engines are great Stock. The best Thing is there cheap well built and you can mod the hell out of them thats a good combo I think. Let me know how it go's. Regards Jeremy.

Hmm misleading the public??? Ian Haley did not use a Go Spec engine at the Worlds, he used an OS V Spec.. He Said your modified Go Spec was unusable...

the standard motor however is fine... :) :)

MassiveMods 01-07-2007 03:37 PM

Paradoxmaker 01-15-2007 04:15 PM

So far I have been very happy with my Go Tech .21 5 port.

I just wish I had more time to run it lately. Between the weather and the change in local track race schedule, I have only had 1 chance to race with it. Can't wait till spring to get it on the track more.

MassiveMods 01-16-2007 01:23 PM

Yeah they take ages to run in , very tight motor..

Paradoxmaker 01-16-2007 03:08 PM

Here is a dyno report on the Go .21 5 port that I got form Russell Jones.

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...urpipetest.jpg

He ran the tests with 4 different pipes.

MassiveMods 01-16-2007 03:23 PM

Ah the 9886 , what a nice pipe that was ..

Rocket42 01-17-2007 12:57 PM

hey thanks for posting that paradox. the 7 port has been sent in for dyno work now.

Paradoxmaker 01-17-2007 07:45 PM

I'm just happy with my choice. After talking with Russ a lot on the Ofna forums, i took the plunge and bought one of his Go's. I was on of the 1st 5 engines he sold and i couldn't be happier with the decision since the Go was the very 1st engine that I have ever bought (every nitro that I have ever owned before was a RTR).

I can't wait till this spring, I'm going to try real hard to get in more than just 4 races this season. Even with all my effort working on my buggy last year I only managed 4 races. I would like to try for once a month at least.

kevsgsxr1000 01-21-2007 08:19 PM

I just picked up a 7 port version of this motor.
I'm wondering if there is any difference between the internals of the 7 vs. 5 port crankcase?
I want to replace the conrod after break in. A-main hobbies sells the conrod for the 5-port.
Are these interchangeable with the 7-port? Also, if I wanted the 5 port instead, could I just swith p/s sets?
thanks.

MassiveMods 01-22-2007 04:43 PM

The difference between the two is the sleeve and crank and back plate , the rods are the same . If you change the sleeve and piston you would want to match the crank with it. There is a slight timing differnce between the two cranks ..

Rocket42 01-22-2007 10:58 PM

the exhaust opening in the 7port crankcase is also different than the 5port. The 7port is opened up a little more to allow for the tri exhaust port. if you were to put the 7port sleeve in the 5port crankcase it would block the exhaust ports.

azcau 03-08-2007 06:11 PM

Word around the campfire is that there may be an onroad version of the Go Tech .21 coming soon . Does anybody know anymore ?

MassiveMods 03-08-2007 09:32 PM

Yeah im designing it ... They will be made and developed here @ MassiveMods

I dare say you will be one of the first with one bro !

azcau 03-09-2007 02:13 PM

You're a clever little vegemite aren't you . Can't wait to get my grubby little hands on it . What sort of time frame are we looking at ?

MassiveMods 03-11-2007 09:26 PM

Mate they are selling like Hot Cakes .. pre order is all i can say !
