I can not give you an honest report for those headers with the Paloma. I did not test with them. I'm not going to blow smoke your way saying "yes, those are great" without having personally tested with them.

An all around good pipe is the Hipex 2034 evolution with medium header.
However, can't go wrong with the 9901& 9853. If your budget allows it you should get a few different manifolds and find what works best for you.

2096/41033 dyno's very well...so does the 9853/41033 ...th 41001 is a great option...the 41005 gives better low speed response but at a pretty good hit to peak power and RPM....... seems to me the 41033 and 41001 are the two best options on the engine... 9901, 2096, 9853 and 9886 all do really good on this engine.... drop a little head shim out of it and watch it wake right up !!!!

Keep in mind that track conditions and size need to be put into consideration. As the old saying goes "spinning isn't winning".

hey guys thought id give a little update, ive got about a gallon of fuel through the motor neal built for me, ive ran both buggy and truggy with it and i would like to share my thoughts.
first in buggy: mounted in an mp9tki 3 buggy with a nova 2096 pipe and 41033 header(as shown in dyno charts) m2c steel 4 shoe flywheel with 0.95 springs. the power comes on smooth(not soft) and ramps up the more you pull the throttle,when compared to my murnan mod +4 that trys to go ape shit as soon as the throttle is cracked its allot more driveable for me. a full stab out of a corner on hi traction will still pull a front tire in the air. the rpms dont stop climbing at my track and our straight is fairly long but rough. I had some issues with the car that kept me from more testing in buggy but the motor will be returning to the buggy soon.

I ran two club races with the motor in my truck, using a hb d8t with a werks 2013 pipe kyosho blue aluminum shoes and 1.0 springs.
the 2013 pipe was something i had to use as i lacked any pipe hanger wire and thats what the truck was already setup for. the pipe really kills the rpms from climbing on top and changes the motor from smooth to punchy and unless your on the straight anymore than half throttle is too much. we only ran 15 minute mains so i came in at 6 minutes to be topped up and had some fuel in the tank after the last nine minutes but a few corners i got the im almost out of fuel bog on the last lap. from what i know the werks 2013 is not a fuel milage pipe so nine minutes is what it is.
if i dont have to work and it stops raining ill try to get some track footage with the 2096 41033, i have some with the 2013 but its not great.

I have ran this motor in truggy for 3 gallons and buggy for about a half Gallon. The 9886 and 41021 (7.5mm)have been a great combo for me in both. Runnin 4 shoe medium werks clutch. Run time isn't spectacular but I'm keei get the engine under 250 so I can't complain with 8 minutes. It was great with high traction in the buggy, I have only ran it in the truck with a loose and loomy track. I have to say as long as I can get a Paloma that will be my engine of choice! I've ran about everything and have to say I like the Paloma the best for any conditions. Tuning is great it holds a tune very well, it doesn't take long to warm up unlike a lot of Rossi engines. All in all I recommend this motor to everyone locally.

I have a Rex Legend 7 and the pinch is gone and it's now causing some tuning issues, I'm thinking about getting it re-pinched but would also like to look for a new piston/sleeve/rod set and wondering if someone can direct me to the correct part number as the exploded view doesn't seem to which sleeve I'd need,

Does anyone know how this engine compares to the speed spec 3? I'm about to order a spec 3 and was just curious how each of their powerbands compare to one another.thanks a lot guys

Anyone have a pipe recommendation for this engin in truggy? I'm thinking about buying this for my mbx6t. I have a jp1 but I don't know how that would perform compared to a novarossis pipe. Not sure if I should use a 41030 manifold for the tighter bend to fit the mugen better or if I should go with a header the will run better on the engine but be harder to fit.

Bumping this thread. Doing this exactly. 9886/41001 is next purchase. Have the 8mm insert and #6 glow plug (comes stock). Pulling brass shim whenever my longer set of precision flathead screwdrivers come in. Going to run on 25% VP PowerMaster fuel. Should be a nice little engine for my Serpent Truggy!

Until the rod starts hitting the bottom of the sleeve. Unfortunately quality control seems to be lacking. My first batch was 2 palomas...no issues. 2nd batch I purchased 3 and all 3 rods hit the sleeve :flaming: ; last season I would recommend this engine to anyone, Now I would suggest you stay away!!

Should I break the engine in on 25% VP fuel, or the 14% break-in fuel and then move to 25%?

I always break in my engines with the fuel I am going to run so in this case I did mine with flashpoint 30% but some people like to use heavier concentration of caster oil.
