I use wd-40, q tips, and air compressor. Don't soak the silicone crank in wd 40. It's fine if you clean it off with a q tip. I use a dremel with a wire wheel to polish the crank. Nova 1m1 oil for reassembly.

I'm in the jewelry business and when I need a new ultrasonic cleaner I go to my local jeweler's supply house. Check locally for a jeweler's tool supply house. They always have them with many different ones to pick from. Maybe check with your local pawn shops. I've seen them there for next to nothing. Ebay might be an option.
