Default What Pipe is This?

So the holes in my JP-4 manifold are all torn through, so I picked up this pipe (to run on an LRP ZR.30X in a 1/7 Ofna DM-1..), mainly for the header. But when I had the pipes side by side, I noticed that, except for the stinger, they were exactly the same. Here in Germany this pipe has been sold for a long time as the Jamara "Max Torque" pipe.. Is it a rebadge of something else? I actually need more RPM's than even more torque... Anyway, was just curious if anybody would know what it is... Definitely not a JP-1, JP-2, or JP-3 either.... (Or 053. See 2nd pic..)

Sure looks like it.. Whether it's worth trying on a .21?..

AFAIK Jamara had rebadged OFNA's. Looks like a non hard coated jp-4,are you going to try it?

LRP/NOSRAM 2076 pipe? IIRC, they revised the stinger a few times...

Stinger is at a different angle. Physical dimension are really close though. I say Run it!

Stinger shape/reinforcement doesn't mean anything at all. I can show you 3 of the same pipe (EFRA), all with different stingers.

It's either a 2076 or a 2062 (JP4).

Chances are, it's just a 2062 clone that isn't held to exacting standards. Hence why they won't/don't put an EFRA homoligation number on it.

Just eyeballing it, aside from the stinger, the pipe is %100 JP-4 - on the outside.. Whether the conus and/or whatever on the inside is different I don't know.. And I've read here and there that the angle of the stinger can make a difference..(talking here more about the angle, and possibly diameter of the opening, not the reenforcement of course..) There was a discussion on a German forum about the 2041 vs. the 2041 Turbo a while back. The latter has a more perpendicular stinger, and this somehow was supposed to push power a bit up in the RPM range or something.. I'm not saying that's the case - it's just what was being discussed.. I've read about stingers making a difference here and elsewhere too..

I probably will just throw it on the Nosram 30 in the DM-1 and see what happens.. Though again, I don't need more torque with that engine, in that car!!....

The JP-4 on the Nosram is nice, not only for performance but it's also pretty good on fuel.. It has been on all the engines I've tested it with.. Maybe a bit restrictive on the 21's I've tested..

BTW - a quick google search led me to some forum questions about the pipe from over five years ago. I don't think this is a JP-4. I think this was an old basher upgrade pipe, the basis of which Jammin used to make the JP-4..
