I have a P5XLT. My motor has 1.5 gallons on it. Run the 2096/41021 pipe and manifold. 30% sidewinder fuel and #6 plug. I am at 10:20 in a race condition. 6mm restrictor. No fuel filter or exhaust gas cooler. Aluminum flywheel.

Just read this whole thread. Very interested. What kind of gain in run time should I expect?

EDIT:
I did a fuel run and made it to 11:40. Added the exhaust cooler and made it to 12:15 (different track as before, but a longer front stretch). Not claiming I can do that in race conditions and I was trying my best to be smooth and easy on the trigger. I am not sure of my lap times but I wasn't saving anything. Just trying to me smooth on acceleration

Is anyone still using the mizer inserts?

I am still using mine as well. I won't run without them. I don't care as much about the extra fuel economy, but the easier idle is something that I love. You just don't get the loading up and flaming out like with a traditional insert.

Good to hear.

I was given a set a few weeks ago, I've installed the medium insert into an OS spec 2 and the large insert into a fusion X5L to test this weekend.

I've read mixed opinions through the thread and nothing had been posted on here for a while, I thought the craze might of died off.

Cheers :-)

Mizer worked awsome in the Reds R5TTE V2. It made the Lucky7 engine reallu bad, ran hot lost bottom end.

So, my experience is the work awsome in an engine with good bottom end power and do not work in a smooth easy to drive engine.

Best I have experienced is an additional 30 sec of runtime - sometimes - which if it was consistent would be exceptional. There are too many factors that effect runtime - track/ trigger/ tune/ humidity/ tempature/ etc.

In the FX engine it made it very difficult to tune and would run hot (the tuning window became very small)- the runtime increase was small in this engine.

In the speed engines - runtime was up around +30 sec and it seemed to cut the top off a little.

I agree with above its very independent of the engine mfg. Sometimes I run them sometimes I do not.

I had the chance to test the large insert in a Fusion X5L today.

This motor really opens up with the Werks 2058, but I've always struggled with run time compared to the 9901 pipe.

Really impressed with the mizer insert, as previously said the idle is so much more crisp, does not load up like a typical Nova carb, and I didn't notice much of a loss on top end.

An out lap, 7 min qualifier and 2 laps after the tone ( 40 sec lap time) and I was coming in with just under a quarter of a tank. I didn't stop watch it during the day ( didn't have a chance) but I would estimate at least 9 mins at race pace.

As everyone has mentioned it would depend on engine / pipe / track but I have definitely seen gains in run time and tune ability. Can't wait to try the medium size mizer in the Speed Spec 2.

Cheers.

Default Nitro-Mizer dyno report

So today I dyno tested a stock Picco 5TX...solid engine for sure... anyways I tested the Mizer 6.2 mm vs the standard Picco 6 mm...... As you can see the Mizer performs much better and as well can get better mileage.... The regualr round 6 mm chokes the engine right back, the Mizer actually allows it to rev out much better then I would have expected...

usable power cuts off at 30k with the stock and 35k+with the mizer. Where am I reading it incorrectly?
