Hey guys I'm having trouble keeping my engine running. I recently build my HPI Savage X SS with an .28 RB (ST) engine. I don't know much about RC cars because this is my first build.
I'm running on 15% nitro and the engine starts up easily but it just won't idle for more than 4 mins. The engine catalog says to rev the engine slightly and let it run through 125cc fuel.
I adjusted the idle needle but it still seems to stop even at slightly higher RPM.
Please guys I really need help with this, I will greatly appriciate it.
Thanks in advance.....

"Idle" means without load. It deosn't allways mean "low RPM, zero throttle, no load" like we would talk about a real cars idle. That would be called "low-idle".
Keep the cars tires off the ground and do everything you can to keep it running. If that means a handful of throttle, so be it. If you need to lean it a little, that's ok as well. Sometimes I'll keep the glow ignitor on the engine.
Just don't overspeed it.
A Comp heater and heatgun is also worth it's weight in gold.
