Cheers. I picked it up second hand so i'm not sure how many litres it has on it. I have put about 7 litres on it so i'm not to sure when i should replace it or replace the shoes. Is it hard to replace the shoes? Do you recommend to replace the shoes or do you put a whole new clutch in?

The posts are larger diameter than most clutches. They do not groove up easily and I reuse the flywheel once usually. I get around 8 maintenance free gallons before my zero shoe is paper thin. Then I throw all shoes away and start fresh

im running at many different tracks currently so it looks like I’m only going to get 4.5 maintenance free gallons this time. Im about to replace the shoes. It’s just as easy as looking at the friction material. Usually the 0 shoe will be the thinnest

I have had the same thing happen in the past. When it happened to me I contacted BuKu and he sent me new shoes and everything was fine. Hopefully he will respond to your message. It does seem like he is having trouble keeping up with the demand on his product.

I have also had excellent results with BuKu Komposite clutch shoes. I overheated a clutch bell until it was glowing a dim red and the Komposite shoes still worked after the clutch bell cooled down.

Mass production makes products less expensive, it doesn't make them perfect. Sometimes defective parts sneak through quality control.

I had a composite shoes completely seperste jamming the clutch bell yesterday. Approximately 1/2 litre at the most use.
I will get in touch with Buku but I hope the quality isn`t dropping as I have had no issues before now.

I had one shoe pad fall off last fall. Happened within the first quart of fuel after installation, which seems to be the common thing. All others have been great for the life of the clutch. Never got replacement shoes and was put off several times but not by Dave. Clutch is amazing thankfully.
