Today I managed to squeeze in a tank in the back lane of the Fire 11 on a 2013.... This thing makes a ton of power on this pipe, yanks the heavy Badlands with authority ...it was even pulling little wheelies if I stabbed the throttle hard from a rolling start...I did notice a loss of top end with the 2013 compared to the 2058, but of course more low end punch... Considering this engine started as a top end rally engine I am very pleased with the results....

Got to love the sound of that pipe!

For international customers with the discount code from Tower, the Classico is the cheapest option here - $210 ($269 - $60 with code 014CD) before shipping...

As long as this stupid Greek referendum doesn't completely torpedo the Euro anytime soon...

BTW, re the Fire 11, if I were to get one, what about a pipe? Currently I could get the engine alone for €210, but the kit with 2045 costs just €20 more, so I'm assuming that's a no brainer?.. I have the following pipes: NR 9901/short or long, 2041, 2047, 2063(awesome with Piccos..), JP-4, 053, and the 0801 on the Argus.. The 2013 looks good in the vids, but def more for low-end - looks ideal for racing in truggies.. But for more top-end from the pipes I have, what do you reckon? I would assume 9901....

Neal can you run the 2057 on the RB and still get good bottom end and a smoother power delivery?

I mentioned this in the RB thread when you asked about the Classico as well. That engine will have a VERY small cooling head on it. That is made for onroad and the cooling head reflects that. Running with that head in a buggy or truggy your gona run too hot.

the included 2087 really smooth out the engine without taking away too much power...the 2057 may also workin a similar manner...

Would the standard RB F11 /Nova 2096 have a bottom end punch for a truggy.

Some will say yes, I will say no ! the stock timing is very high and setup more towards onroad then offroad...My modified one runs much lower exhaust timing then stock, and much lower blowdown timing so it makes piles more torque then stock would.....

So is a F11 the same as the old C6 or just similiar to? Are the timings different? I thought the C6 was known for decent low end and you say the stock F11 has questionable low end.

C6 and F11 are quite different....one is a 5 port the other a 7 port..timings are quite different..Based of timing and porting F11 is a top end monster.... tho keep in mind that I myself was never a fan of the C6's bottom end, I always found it to be quite soft compared to the Picco's I ran at the time........By timing/porting specs the F11 is like a C6 on steroids...

edit... I should say that when I am talking about bottom end, I am not referring to blowing your tires off on a loose track, which I am positive a Fire 11 will do without any issue...The bottom end I am referring to is the kind that will push a truggy on a high bite track over a low speed technical section with authority, actual usuable torque when the tires are locked down... many .21's can feel very lazy down low when the traction is high....

Not wanting to get of topic compairing the FMS and the RB Fire but how does the the RB compare to the Bonito Im looking for a new truggy engine to replace an Axe X1 that dropped a coil from the plug, prior to this engine I was running a Bonito with the 2096/29 combo.

What we know so far is that it is ridiculously powerful and fast..yet it is very forgiving and easy to tune... I swapped around 3 different pipes and 2 different plugs and the tune hardly wavered...it was not even really necessary to adjust the needles it was affected so little by the changes....And as I say it is extremely potent over the entire RPM range makes huge amounts of bottom end and right wails on the top end....Most positively definitely not a engine for the meek ! this one has some serious bite to it !
