Why do people put zip ties around the heat sinc on their motor?

Some do it to protect the engine head when they flip over...

I of course never flip, so there is no need

just to protect the head a bit from scratches etc rpm make a custom head protector at amain hobbys

That isn't what its for.. Its to keep the head on the engine just incase the screws back out.
