Wink Little did I know...

Some one ask me if I could help him get some more power out of his engine, sure no problem I said. I didn't know what engine it was, so the smile on my face when I piked it up... well it sure is the smallest engine I ever worked on!
Itīs to an X-Ray NT18, 0,8cc of pure power!

A picture with one of my cutters that I use on cylinder-heads together with P/S.
One with the crank and a match.
And one when my Picco is putting the little-one to sleep...

Yes itīs a 3-port. I think they are made by TOKI in Japan.
The quality of the materials was good, but the conrod was made of silicon-brons or something similar. So I didn't go "to wild" with it, just some minor touches and some mods on the pipe.
Picco, SH and some other brands I believe have small engines to (0,5-0,8cc).

I donīt know when he will try it, itīs WINTER here!
But I will get back to you.

Yes, it is a Toki, I have one in my NT18 onroad and must say it is already a screamer. It is indeed a very basic engine but the performance is good so I keep it as it is.

Yes in deed, they run strong as it is.
But there are some improvements to be made, if one wants to.
For instance the piston, itīs made on the heavy side and lighten it a bit will both free-up the engine as well as keeping the conrod more happy.
They are made to work much as a airplane-engine, they donīt have a god pipe to work with. So timing should be left alone if one doesn't want the process that comes with developing a good working pipe, or both performance and fuel-economy will suffer.
And I donīt believe there is that much to gain in that process anyhow...
Your probably better of lightning something on the chassis.
This was more done as a blueprint, not a mayor port-work.
As I sad before, I donīt think that conrod would like to see to much performance gains.
A happy engine is a happy owner!
